IS YOUR CAR BEGINNING TO STALL OUT WHEN IDLING?MOST LIKELY IT'S YOUR IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, AND IT NEEDS REPLACING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EITHER AC DELCO OR DELPHI PRODUCTS -- SIMPLY THE BEST AND MOST LIKELY CAME ON YOUR CAR WHEN IT WAS BUILT!This small sensor has a little motor in it, so it's more than just a sensor, it's also an actuator. Meaning, it's small V-shapedprong you see moves to 'open-position' every time you let off the gas in order to allow air into the throttle body to properly idle your car's engine. When this sensor wears out the motor becomes weak and sometimes stops altogether causing it to not open and suffocate your engine of air.Don't become overly anxious when this part needs replacing, on most cars this sensor is in direct view and can be replaced by YOU. It's located on your THROTTLE BODY, right alongside your 'THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR' (which controls your throttle body from 'OVER OR HI-REVS AT IDLE', JUST THE OPPOSITE OF THE IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR. These are two very important, yet many times overlooked sensors. They both are not expensive items and again buy either AC Delco or Delphi products. One last sensor I want to tell you about is the 'CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR', write this one down as well, about $20 something and well worth buying and installing. You know when your driving down the highway and you see a car, even newer cars, pulled over on the berm, many times their CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR WENT BAD AND STALLED THEIR CAR -- this normally happens when the car runs at normal or hot temps, but the car will restart after you let it cool down. There are several different ways you car could stall out, i.e., fuel pump gone bad, to a simple battery ground cable which became loose, but it can also be because of the POSITION SENSOR.IN SUM, BE SMART AND PICK UP ALL THREE SENSORS AND HAVE THEM PUT ON, OR DO IT YOURSELF, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DRIVE A LOT OR HAVE AN OLDER CAR.I HOPE THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN HELPFUL TO YOU. MY GOAL IS TO HELP OTHERS WHEN I CAN, BECAUSE BELIEVE ME THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF FOLKS OUT THERE THAT WILL OFFER THIS KIND OF INFORMATION. ACDELCO is a trusted name. Only brand I trust with a Saturn. Didn’t need to change It, but I was cleaning the throttle body and figured It was time to change all he sensors and valves that were exposed. I did notice an improvement but I suspect my original IAC was still working. Recommend this brand and quick shipping from amazon
