Finally got to use this. Went to the snow and I was able to pull another vehicle out with ease. Love it

Recovery is dangerious. Failure typically occurs at the weakest link. So, you need to know the strength of the weakest link. Unfortunately, the product information I received is not very helpful. I really could not tell what I was getting. For example:1) The hitch is not marked with its Working Load Limit (WLL ) or BREAKING STRENGTH. How strong is it? What are its load capabillities? What is the WLL? Is it strong enough for your vehicle in a snatch scenerio? Why no specifications? Yes, there are lots of positive reviews. But how many reviews were posted after actual use?2) Box says 35,000 "break strength rating". This DOES **NOT APPLY** TO ALL COMPONANTS. Package insert says 35,000 "Max break strength" . Presumably this is for the strap. But MAXIMUM BREAK STRENGTH that is not very helpful. And it is certainly not compairable to high quality straps that list the MINIMUM breaking strength. What is the Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS)? Why not use compairable specifications?3) Shackles are stamped with a "WLL" (Working Load Limit) of "4 3/4 T" or 9,500 pounds. No BREAKING STRENGTH is listed. Typically breaking is around 2 times the WLL, but who knows since its not stated. In many 4X4 recoveries you are using tons of kenetic energy to recover an SUV. You need to know the weakest link or you might end up with a metallic part (i.e. hitch or shackle) flying through a windshield. Don't let that be you. Know the working load limit (WLL) or MINIMUM breaking strength for each and every componant.

I have not tested the stretch and durability of the snatch strap yet so only rating it 4. I loved the price and am sure it will come in handy in the future. Unfortunately, despite Toyota classifying my truck an 'off road' vehicle (Tacoma Prerunner TRD sport) it lacks 4x4 and only has an LSD so i got this to be safe. The rolled strap fits perfectly in my behind seat storage under the tray and the receiver mounted shackle recovery point was a bonus. Feels nice and sturdy and blends well with my truck since it is black. I will update this review when I have to use the strap. But for now since it is untested I can not in good conscience rate the stretch and durability of the strap.
