Needed to connect my iMac with my monitor and this work was a good item to get. No complaints. It didn’t give any lag or any issues. Get this item you’ll have no complaints.

I like how this allows me to connect my NUC computer to any of my monitors, whether they be new or the old style. I have my NUC connected via a VGA cable at 1920x1080. I tested the HDMI cable with good results. I tested using adapters, but it did not work. You have to use only the cable. Also, I connected two monitors to the dongle, VGA and HDMI, and both monitors went blank. Just something to think about.I plan on keeping this on my NUC so I can repurpose my old monitor.

I accidentally ordered the DP1.2 rather than the USB B connector for my monitor. That is my bad, I have several monitors, but none of them have the DP 1.2 style conectors. So I will stick with an 8K HDMI 2X1 switch so I can use PC or Xbox on the shared monitor. Unfortunatlely I don't have a way to test it. But I can say its light weight plastic, has DVI HDMI 4K2x and VGA to DP 2.1. In comparison to other connectors of a similar type this one is made of thinner plastic, which seems like lower quality, but its really the internals that matter.

I got this adapter to use with my 2014 Mac Mini computer which has the mini displayport outputs. This device allows me to connect VGA/DVI and HDMI monitors to my Mac. My main use is the VGA connection since the Mini already has HDMI and DVI is a really old (pre HDMI) connector.As another reviewer has stated, my only negative is the length of the connector...seems odd they made it long enough to be too long, if that makes sense. Just requires you to bend the cable somewhat or let it dangle. Not a huge deal, but something I thought I'd mention.One more thing that's super important. Please note you can only use ONE of the video outputs at a time with this adapter. Don't think you can connect a VGA , a DVI and an HDMI monitor simultaneously...that's not going to work, nor what this adapter is designed for. You can choose ONE (VGA or DVI or HDMI) to use with this adapter. You will need to use another connector on the computer for an additional monitor. I'd figure most people who get this adapter already have a monitor connected to the HDMI port and want another monitor to use via the mini displayport output. This will do the trick!Overall, for the cost, it's easy to recommend this adapter.

I've kept a really old Dell monitor around, since it provides a larger screen when needed. The problem that I ran into when I pulled it out of long-term storage was connectivity! Having only the VGA and VGA cable would never hook into my newer MacBook Airs (and I've already disposed of the old Dell PC). So I decided to take a chance on this gadget. One of my MacBook Air computers had a "thunderbolt" port, so I plugged in this adapter. Using screen mirroring on the older MacBook, after several tries, the monitor warmed up enough to provide a display. Now I can use this much larger monitor when I do close work like spreadsheets, and it saves on my eye strain. I've tried to attach 3 different file types of pictures, but they're not being accepted - sorry!
