I waited a month after buying and installing a new part from major auto part supplier to verify repair. This part is unable to handle load from ac blower fan motor. Replaced dorman part twice with same results. Ac blower fan would work normal with fan control then after a day or so fan would run constantly with AC on or not. Troubleshooted circuit back to this part three times. Checked for shorts and ground circuits. Purchased third replacement from auto store at higher price but AC has worked perfectly for the past month. Worth the extra cost for a working AC during the summer.

Worked fine in my 2004 Dodge Durango Limited with dual air. Fan had been stuck on high and old unit actually rattled slightly. On this truck replacement was a breeze, requiring only 1 1/4 inch socket and a 1/4 inch ratchet, no other interior parts or trim needed to be removed.

Advanced Auto parts and o'learys auto parts. Sold me this product guarantee and it would work. And of course it did not work for my vehicle a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.... So I gave this 1 A try. It was half the cost and it works perfect..

I installed this resistor in my 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland. Although it lasted through the warranty exchange period, the fact is it really didn’t last through 5 or 6 hours of total usage time. It doesn’t get too hot or cold here that I turned my heater or AC on muchat all and I don’t drive the truck that often. I was very disappointed that it failed today when I tried it out while driving. The fan motor immediately went to high speed despite the fact I turned it on low. I could smell the electrical burn smell and immediately knew what happened and sure enough I had no fan speed control and the fan wouldn’t shut off even when the truck was shut off. I disconnected the blower motor as well as the resistor so it wouldn’t draw power from the battery while the truck was parked. It’s a must have item but I will go with another brand and can only hope for best. Junk basically.

Works perfect in my Chrysler T&C minivan. My in-dash blower motor has been acting up and this regulator brought it back from the dead. I still need to replace the motor but this got it it working with a tap on the original motor instead of leaving it totally dead. It fit perfectly without replacing the wiring adapter. Its easy to pull out the old unit to verify if this is the right style of regulator for your van. Open the glove-box, remove two screws and you can see if it is this type for automatic style or the circuitboard type for the manual style.
