The Ice bucket is very elegant but I was very disappointed with the size of it. It is much smaller than your average ice bucket. Will be Ok for ice but kind of awkward for putting a nice bottle of Champagne or wine in it, not much room left for the ice. I probably would not have purchased it if I saw the actual size on the shelf of a store. Its a gift so can't tell you how it will perform keeping ice in tact for a long period of time.

I ordered this ice bucket because I was hosting a holiday recently, and realized my guests were going into my freezer or we were having use one of our bowls from our dish set. I'm obsessed with Pottery Barn so most of the flatware, dishes, etc we received were from there. I have their hammered metal flatware and serving platter and wanted something that looked similar and would look good on my dinner table with everything out. This ice bucket is fabulous! Not only does it match my flatware and serving platter exactly, it's looks more expensive than it is. It's the perfect size, and isn't too large, and I keep getting compliments on it. Everyone thinks it's from Pottery Barn! The only negative I will say is that the handle was a little bent when I received it and is a flimsy metal. However, it can easily be cut off the bucket for a more rustic look.
