Engrasar bien, incluidas las roscas, los tornillos y el anillo, que debería moverse. Tampoco lo apriete demasiado.

I would avoid any of these kind of tools..On paper, it should work, but in reality, it doesn't, I spend nearly an hour trying to to push the cylinder out, doing the hex screw and following the instruction. Nothing.I end up using the hammer and pounded on the gas cylinder itself (it been degassed.) and finally got the darn thing out.Worst, the chair I worked for a cylinder replacement actually have other issues that I decided just replace the whole thing. total repair bill end up costing a lot more then expected. So avoid similar of tools of this kind. And unlike Bethesda game - it simply doesn't work.(PS. don't think I can return it as there are screw marks all over this "tool" )

It worked on my second try. First time, I did not screw the base part tight enough. The second time I also spayed WD40 to loosen it up a bit. The second time it worked well. A thumbs up.

Before I bought this, I was having great difficulty trying to get the old broken gas lift out of my chair, so I could install a new one. (The chair is a noblechairs Hero - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079X1RZ56/ ). I had tried pulling. I had tried pliers. I had tried hammering. I had tried taking the mechanism off the chair and hammering from the top. I had even tried making my own wooden version of this product with some scrap lumber and bolts. Nothing worked. It was well and truly stuck, and I was getting resigned to buying at least a new mechanism. Then I got this product. Took a couple of days due to international shipping. But... it worked. Within an hour, it got the gas lift out of the chair mechanism, without damaging the chair mechanism. I now have a working chair.I am very happy with this. The product comes with two rings and two bolts. Each ring is split in half and joined with bolts. The ring that does NOT have extra holes, goes loosely around the end of the gas lift - make sure this is an easy sliding fit. The other ring gets two vertical bolts screwed into it - it's easiest to do this before attaching it to the gas lift. Then it goes around the gas lift, and bolted in place really tightly, so the ends of the vertical bolts can push on the loose ring. Then you tighten the two bolts to push the two rings apart, which pulls the gas lift out of the chair. This was really difficult, I needed a LOT of force on those bolts. You need a 5mm hex key to use this. One comes in the kit, but it's not up to the job. Since I needed to put a huge amount of force on the bolts to separate the chair, I needed lots of leverage, and the one in the kit is just too short for that. I tried holding the hex key in a vice so I could put more force on it, but the end just broke and rounded off. I ended up using a longer and better quality hex key (from this set https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09P1PJGND/ ). I also ended up clamping the hex key in a vice to hold it steady, and hitting the gas lift with a hammer to rotate it around the hex key. Impressively, the clamps and bolts all stood up to that level of (ab)use. And it worked.A couple of notes on build quality:When I assembled this, the vertical bolts were stiff going in. Not sure why, and I didn't bother to investigate - it could be they didn't clean out the holes properly after cutting them, or the holes might not have been cut perfectly, or perhaps it rusted a little inside the holes in transit, or perhaps something else. Either way, once the bolts were in, they were much easier to screw in and out, so I called that fixed and good enough and moved on. For the price I paid, I'm fine with that. Also, the ends of the two vertical bolts left dents in the metal rings once I'd used it. I bought this intending to use it once, so I'm fine with that. I will keep it, and if I do need to use it again, it will be fine. It will probably last through every gas lift removal I ever have to do. But if you run a chair repair business and need to use this 10 times a day, every day, it might eventually wear out. Again, for the price I paid, I'm fine with the metal the manufacturer chose. This is a cheap, effective, product, which gets the job done without costing too much money.I would definitely buy this again. And much earlier next time. I wish I'd get this as soon as I realised the gas lift wasn't going to come out the easy way.(Although I don't need to buy it again, because I have one now, and it's sitting at the bottom of my toolbox so it's available if I need it again).

Couldn’t use the kit because it was missing bolts. Not very helpful

I can't believe how easy it was. I have been stressing with the chair so much until I found this. The first ring closest to the sit has to be able to slide so the sit can pop out while the other ring has to be as tight as possible so it doesn't slide down and then just put the screws and pop. Is done. And after that, hammering the gas cylinder is the easiest part. I literally just needed to hammer it two times without any effort.
