Read the reviews but don’t pay attention to negative ones. this was my star prize purchase winner. Best price possible and when installed the right way, works perfectly. Also a regular cats collar that has a bell, will open the door. Best purchase ever!!!

This does the job, however the magnets are to large.

The door does not reliably latch when the goes from outside in. really struggling to get it to work properly

I really wanted to love this cat door, but unfortunately, it's not working as expected. It locks my cats inside while still allowing other animals to enter.The magnetic part is only on the outside of the door (the collar is only needed to get in) so when my cat’s collar touches the magnetic base, it unlocks the door. The issue is that by the time the cat moves through the door, the collar no longer touches the magnetic part (since the magnetic part is only present outside), and as the door swings shut, the locking mechanism already reset, trapping the cat inside. This also leaves the door open for other animals to enter.It deserves a video to understand. I will eventually make one and post it for a better visualization.
