I am always wiring all kinds of things, from trailers, Rvs, vehicles, and numerous 12 volt systems. I got this specifically for rewiring a trailer and wanted to use the electric brake wire for my reverse lights. And I will be using it to also run different 12 volt circuits throughout my split 3 car garage. Anyway, just make sure you seal your connections well and do not expose any of the CCA wire to the elements. If sealed well, it wil last a long time, If you do not seal your connections well, the CCA will basically disintegrate with water exposure. I had run some CCA wire to an outside terminal block and did not seal it properly. After a year of the elements, the wire ends connecting to the terminal block had basically disintegrated for about a 2 inch length. I had left myself plenty of wire so it was an easy fix. If you are using this on a boat trailer that goes into the water, just use some silicone on your connections which would be a good idea anyway. And you should never leave exposed wire anyway for corrosion. IMO, this is a great product as long as you know your application needs.

There are the standard green, yellow, brown and white wires for lights and ground, plus it has the blue brake and the red 12V power wires. If your on a budget then this wire may be good enough for you. It does work but is cheaply manufactured. There are lumps and irregularities in the insulation and the wire is also copper clad aluminum which makes it easier to break the strands. It is #14 with 42 fine strands in each wire that does allow it to carry more current than the #14 wire with fewer and bigger strands. The wires are bonded together with a clear plastic coating instead of just stuck to each others insulation. Care must be taken when peeling the wires apart because the clear sticks to the wire insulation and can tear it away exposing the wire strands fairly easily. I think this wire would be better used in conduit or pipe welded under the trailer instead of swinging free. And don't forget the use of heat shrink at the connections for corrosion protection and strength after soldering the wires. Don't crimp the soft aluminum in a butt splice and break most of the strands.

I used this to require my boat trailer and worked perfectly. I was actually surprised at how thought the jacketing was on this wire.
