Summer dressing needs to meet 3 criteria for me. First, it needs to be comfortable and lightweight. Second, it can’t be fussy. I need to be able to throw it on and get out the door. Third, it still needs to look nice. This dress hits all 3 marks for me. The fabric is soft and breathable, the dress is well-made, and you look presentable with minimal effort. I am 5’6”, 185 pounds, 38DDD, size large (12/14) in tops. The manufacturer’s sizing chart put me in a large. However, after scrutinizing the photos on the website, I could tell the dress had a slimmer cut to it. I trusted my instincts and selected the XL size. Did I make the right decision? Absolutely. I love the way the XL fits. It’s flattering and isn’t too tight in the chest or hips. I’m not constantly adjusting it or tugging it into place.Regarding the laundering instructions, the tag inside the dress says that it is machine wash cold on the gentle cycle / tumble dry low. I did as the tag directed and the dress came out great, no wrinkles.On my body, the dress length comes to my mid-calf. The slits on either side of the dress aren’t too revealing, yet don’t constrict your ability to take a full stride when you walk. Additionally, the manufacturer sewed a creative feature at the neckline: One side is white, and the other side is the color of the stripe. I thought that idea worked out so much cuter than trying to work with the striped fabric there, or just making both sides of the neckline white.I selected the Night Sky color hoping that it would be a nice navy. It is possibly the darkest color of navy that I’ve ever seen. Much closer to black than blue.All in all, this is a great casual dress for summer. Whether you are going to a backyard BBQ, the office, running errands or to the yacht club, you’ll look pulled together and presentable.

this is just the easiest most classic casual look. you can take it to the nautical extreme and throw a sweater around your shoulders, and add some deck shoes. or throw it on with a pair of sneakers. or you wear it with flipflops. or a pair of wedges. or or or there are just a ton of ors you can play around honestly and it's just still gonna be a casual classic, easy to wear. it runs true to size. i wear a shaping under it because i am just that girl and terribly self conscious of my belly. but it does create a very nice silhouette and the shaping just enhances it just enough. i especially appreciate this dress because i can wear it year round in Texas. love it.

This is a beautiful dress! It is a thick fabric and such a flattering fit. It fits true to size in my opinion and it very comfortable. I am very satisfied with this product!
