We put this into a "kids car" we have for the grandkids to use which was getting pretty laggy in acceleration. We did the timing chain and tensioners at the same time since we were opening everything up anyway. The old VVT phasers were clogged up enough and questionable enough that it's best to just replace them rather than try to de-gunk them. We found these work great and advance the timing well - much faster acceleration and the grandkids now argue over who gets to drive this car. Good quality parts.

I ordered one of these, 3.6L camshaft phaser Kit for a, 2012 GMC Acadia that has the dreaded P00 codes. Shipping and arrival was fast. Long story short this vehicle needs the timing chain and components replaced and re-timed. The quality a the machine work on these phasers looks very good, timing marks are visible and everything is spot on from the OEM parts. What a better time to replace all of these parts while it is torn down. If you need a phaser chances are you timing chain is not far behind. I am also replacing the, timing chain, idler gears, crankshaft drive gear, and the oil pump during this process. The oil pump is very easy with 3 bolt to remove and no extra work while you are this far into a tear down. Personally I would never replace a timing chain without replacing all the gears and oil pump. You want all these parts to mate up correct during break in and the old gears will have different wear. Don't waste your time and money in my opinion without doing the job correct. For everything you get in this kit the price was right. All the parts included appear and feel to be very good quality, This is not an easy task to replace any of this VVT timing assembly and everything included, and you may want to have a professional install this kit. Otherwise this kit is a great bang for your buck and I gave it 5 stars.
