I have to admit, this isn't something I'd normally buy, but I really wanted to try them out when I saw them offered in the vine program. I've bought rolls of very cheap plastic bags, similar to what you'd see in the produce section of a grocery store and didn't have any problems with excessive odor, but these seemed like a really cool idea. So even though these are much more expensive, they feel thicker, and the 7-layer technology seemed pretty impressive. Just for fun I tried sealing the bags with my impulse sealer that I have in the kitchen, just in case I want to take a few bags on the go, and it worked great, but honestly tying a knot seems a knot seems more secure. My initial concern was that tying knots seems to waste about 4-6 inches of material on each end, and I'm kind of a cheapskate, but there's really no way around that. I like this idea and it's very clever, thanks.

Much cheaper alternative. However this was my first attempt not using the diaper genie brand refills, and these do not hold in the smell nearly as well. My babies whole nursery smells like dirty diapers. (I have the diaper genie select)

Slides ride into the compact and works well. Bag is decently smell-proof as well. Only issues if it does not “snap” into place like the name brand but sits on top so if you try to stuff more diapers or push at all, it can fall into the container.

This is a must-need for any newborn nursery. They function just like the original diaper genie ones. Same functionality as you. Rip off the little tab and place the canister on. It fits for the diaper genie. Select. Super easy. Once the tab is removed, it holds about a good week's worth of diapers.

It's a great alternative to the brand name.Fits the diaper genie with no issues. The bag seems a little thinner but we don't smell anything.
