I've tried several neck pickups in a Fat Tele that has a Duncan Hot Lead Stack in the bridge position: DiMarzio Air Norton, Carvin M22, PAF... As advertised, the Duncan Stag Mag is two Strat pickups, stacked together, and with the coils split, the tone really is classic Strat. The only caveat: because the Stag Mag is wired as a bridge pickup, using the "normal" Duncan wiring turns on the white coil in split mode. It works better for rhythm than lead, but I'm going to swap the wires around such that the black coil, closer to the neck, activates in split mode. Here's hoping there won't be any weird out-of-phase issues with the selector switch in the center (both) position.
