This stripper is nicely made, comfortable to use, and strips cleanly and easily. The spring loaded opening is super convenient and the latch that keeps it closed for storage works well. Recommended!

I do apartment maintenance for a living, and needed a wire stripper for small gauge wiring (garage door opener wires, intercom panels, thermostats, etc...) I originally picked up this same stripper at Lowe's back when they still had them. When that one walked away from my tool bag, I had to order one from amazon because I'm one of those people that once you've used a certain item for so long, it's almost impossible to switch to something else.The spring is pretty strong, but more importantly, the lock tab to hold the stripper closed is stronger. Have had other brand strippers where the lock tab rounded off and would no longer hold closed...those ended up in the garbage. Handles are pretty comfortable for the amount I use it, but with most of the wire I'm working with, it doesn't need a lot of force exerted to strip them.
