The original cooker was still functioning well, but the price of a new pot is literally the same as a whole new cooker, so I ended up buying a new cooker instead, which is this. It does what it is supposed to do and didn't break the bank. The convenience of a rice cooker is fantastic with no damaged pots or the potential bad smell of burned rice.

Smaller sized cooker for smaller household. Makes perfect rice. Ceramic coating works really well. No sticking nor burnt bottom even when it’s on warm for hours. Made congee too and it was also great. Does make clicking sounds when it gets really hot. It’s the glass lid. No damage just something to note. Another thing to consider: you can only make 2 uncooked cups of rice with the steamer insert in use. The rice will rise up to the bottom of the steamer basket. I wouldn’t try more unless you want cooked rice mixed in with whatever you’re steaming.
