I've gained some weight since last summer when I was already what I would consider "chunky" for my body shape and type, normally. I knew I probably wouldn't fit in the swim suits I already owned, and I have several areas that I'm insecure in. When I saw this swimsuit, I knew that I needed to give it a try! I am so happy that I did, and it fits and conceals areas I'm insecure about just like I thought. It is a swim suit so it will have a "tight/compressed" feel to it, if you get your correct size, anyway. It doesn't feel uncomfortably tight though. I also was a bit bummed to see that it was padded in the bra area, as I'm not usually a fan of padded "anything", but this swimsuit didn't make my boobs feel smashed or look weird. The padding is probably just there to control the nips showing through the material. It's also removable, so there is that, in case it does get uncomfortable enough to warrant removal.I am really digging the feminine design of this swimsuit, the cap sleeves and flowy skirt and super flattering and help to conceal some of the cellulite and "ahem" flap that I've accumulated over the last year. Truth is, nobody is probably looking at me, or criticizing my body as much as I am, but feeling more confident at the pool is important to me. I am able to focus more on having fun and making memories with my kids when I feel comfortable with what I have on, and what I have on display. I don't find this swimsuit to have what I consider "tummy control", but I'm not disappointed by that, because I feel the claim and delivered results are similarly interpreted by other brands. What they consider "tummy control" is really tummy disguise. There isn't any additional compression like the word "control" implies when referring to shape-wear, but there is additional rouging along the sides, and the fabric kind of like gathers in the abdomen area, which does distort the rolls or tummy issue you have in that area. For me, the flowy skirt and tie also contribute to disguising the tummy area some as your eye is drawn to that area as well as the feminine cap sleeves.I imagine that this style of swimsuit will be flattering to many body shapes. I consider myself to be "curvy", im about a 16 in womens, currently, and generally fluctuate between a 12-14. Despite my size, my body shape is about the same; I have a thinner waist, and full hips. I would absolutely recommend this dress to both my mom and sister, who are both full figured women as well. I love that this swimsuit comes in additional colors, I chose the mossy/army green, a favorite color of mine, and am considering purchasing another in black. I do believe that this swimsuit is designed to be one of those pieces that will flatter and enhance "what you've got"; so similar to my previous statement, it is well suited for a variety of body shapes. I do wish it came in extended sizing. From what I can tell, there are only sizes medium-xlarge available. Many of the women I would recommend this to (because of the shape, skirt and sleeves) would need 2x or 3x. If you fit within the sizes offered, and like the look or modest features of this swimsuit, I highly recommend you give it a try! Enjoy yourself at the pool this year, without worrying about someone staring at their areas you are insecure about! If people do stare, it will be to acknowledge how beautiful a swimsuit you have one, and wonder where you found it!

This is a pretty, nicely made bathing suit that I wanted to love. I'm busty (38c) but not very big anywhere else, (normally an 8-10 in pants, and a 14 in shirts, so ordered the xl based on the size chart. It has a nice bra with cups, not just a shelf bra, for support, and I was hoping for coverage in the chest like is shown in the promo photos. But it is way too deeply cut, tight, and "vavavoomish" in the chest, exposing much more than I am comfortable showing. In contrast, it covers the upper arms with cute little flutter sleeves and the upper legs and rear with a skirt. On me, the armholes were too tight, and although I don't have much of a belly at all, this seemed to make me look bigger and bulgey there, rather than being slenderizing. So in summary, I think for very tall, very slender, flatter chested women, this might be ok. But if you are looking for an all over modest suit that doesn't show too much and you are bigger up top, might want to keep looking for another option.

The bathing suit has a flattering yet modest look to it. Even on a bigger butt everything is still covered. Before getting this suit wet in the pool or at the beach it could pass as daywear. The split of the skirt portion could be adjusted. The suit is comfortable for all day wear and fits like a glove. It held up well both in the water and in the washer machine.

The fit is very good and it gives good tummy control. I am 5 feet 2 inches and I weigh about 130Pounds.

This swim dress is both modest yet super flattering on even the most imperfect body. It’s like a short dress made with swimsuit material with slight tummy control and ruffles that helps conceal areas of concern like upper arms and legs and tummy area. You could easily throw on a long cardigan or a sarong and transition to a beachside bar or restaurant and not feel too revealing. Overall it’s a beautiful choice of beachwear!
