It's like a zip tie on steroids. It might not be as secure as your regular reinforced padlock but it can do a host of other things that a padlock can't do. The tie itself makes this lock almost infinitely adjustable. It has a reinforced steel wire inside the plastic sheath of the wire and a standard bike lock type of padlock barrel that opens with a key (2 keys provided). I wouldn't use this to permanently secure very valuable objects but as a temporary solution where the objects will not be left too long without surveillance this is very practical especially if you need to adjust the lock length to the irregular shaped object itself. The wire is quite thin so it can be inserted in small spaces. Since this is a steel wire, it won't bend every which way like a regular plastic zip tie would. It has a downward/upward motion only with very slight sideways play possible. Be aware of the length that you will need before ordering as there is a medium and longer version of this. All in all I'm very impressed and I can see a thousand uses for this thing.

Guter Schutz wenn man das Bike mal für 2 Minuten schnell absichern möchte. Man ist unterwegs und läuft mal schnell in einen Laden, dann kann man sein Fahrrad damit gegen schneller entwenden sichern. Um das Fahrrad für längere Zeit zu sichern, verwende ich dann doch lieber mein Abus Faltschloss. Aber damit kann zumindest niemand schnell auf das Fahrrad aufspringen und losfahren. Also für meinen Zweck hervorragend geeignet.

Not a very secure lock but you can tighten to anysize maybe not for bike but maybe chicken run door...
