It was easy to install for my Amana side by side fridge. I'm hoping it lasts!

Great! Tried another seller's, but it was 1/8th inch too small.. This one fit perfectly and was easy to install. Seems to be a good product.

This container was a perfect fit to replace the container in a Kenmore Refrigerator/freezer ice dispenser/crusher. The old container cracked at the bottom due to the spinning coil that moves ice into the dispenser/crusher. When ice accumulates in the container, sometimes the ice cubes will melt into each other and form a harder larger block of ice. When the coil spins to move the ice, the larger ice block can tear or cut into the plastic container. To avoid damaging the ice container, the consumer needs to check the ice container from time to time to make sure there are no hardened large blocks of ice that can crack the container when the mechanism is activated.

my original bucket cracked after the ice cubes froze to the side of the freezer and prevented the ice bucket from sliding out - during the process of breaking up the ice the bottom of the bucket cracked and started letting ice cubes fall into the main freezer compartment (a design issue with these Amana/Whirlpool fridges).I don't expect this replacement (since it is exactly the same design with the same thin plastic walls) to be any sturdier in the same situation, so I now check the bucket every week and clear out any large chunks of frozen ice before they can accumulate and stick to the walls again. I also make sure the bucket doesn't overfill by lifting the ice maker arm to turn off ice making if the ice cubes are accumulating and starting to stick to each other. As for "Value for money" this seems overpriced ($60 for a plastic bucket) and I can imagine I can get it cheaper if I order direct from the OEM manufacturer, but I was unable to find a direct link for this particular model so I had no choice but to get it off Amazon. If this unit breaks again I am going to seriously consider buying a whole new fridge.
