These were larger than I expected but with some adjustment I got used to using them for some fun photo shoots. This was a much cheaper alternative to expensive color inserts so I felts okay trimming for my use.

These gels are heavy duty. THey are very thick and have survived high temps on a stage LED spotlight. They are easy to cut to size as well. They are massive, so I was able to cover two spotlights with one sheet without any issues. I am very impressed with both color and quality and highly reccomend this product.

These filters are large (16"x20") and easily fit my 9" reflector. Don't forget to remove the protective plastic sheet on both sides. You will spend 15 minutes of your life getting these films off :)These are tick and will not easily bend around the edges of your lighting gear. This may cause some light leaks.I tested the temperature resistance by placing a strip into the oven. Beyond 225F they start curling up and become very malleable. Other films by Lee or Rosco (made of polyester instead of PVC) will resist up to 425F. So don't use them on hot lights and don't use a dark filter too close to the strobe bulb. I have been able to make red polyester films when placed immediately in front of a speedlight. I can only imagine how much faster a PVC filter will melt.

Banana in pictures for scale reference. These are true to size (16x20 inches). Much bigger in person than what I was expecting!Let me start off with saying that I didn't use this product for it's intended use. I used it for a craft project to give a model home a colored tint through it's tiny windows, illuminated by a lightbulb inside of the model home. I therefore can't speak for the professional color correction use on studio lamps/lights.Each gel sheet has a protective plastic film that is peeled off before being used (pictured). I also took a photo of the yellow sheet covering half of my camera lens. Hopefully that photo is useful in seeing the color correction effect that can be obtained by using these. They, expectedly, came folded for shipping and unfortunately do not want to flatten out by themselves. I imagine flatness can be obtained by a combination of light heat and flat weights but I have not tried that because the flatness is not important to me in my craft use of this product.I think they are a little pricey for essentially some thin sheets of plastic. At the time of review they are $23 for 12 pieces. that comes out to $1.90 per sheet. Granted I have no experience with studio lamps/lighting and color correction gel so maybe that is the normal going price for this type of product. I do think that closer to a dollar per sheet seems more fair though.Since they don't want to flatten out from being folded for shipping AND the price seems slightly high, I decided to dock a star for those reasons. Besides that though I am a happy customer and would recommend this product.

These are full size gels! You could use them for large lights, or cut them to fit a smaller one. They cut with scissors with moderate difficulty. I cut the saturated red one to size to fit a display case, as seen in the photo (the light built into the case was a cool white to begin with.) In person, it looks less pink than in the photo, and really cool! Do note that they have a little protective coating you need to peel off, so the color will look a little dull to start. Most of the colors are great and saturated well, except for the orange and yellow. I would've liked a really bright orange! But overall a good set if you just need a good color assortment.
