I purchased this press mold for making homemade oat cakes. While it does what it needs to do, there are three really big issues-1. The press comes in two pieces. The flat square screws into the tube handle. This wouldn't be a problem except it doesn't stay together. The flat base is constantly unscrewing itself as you are trying to use it. You have to tighten it after every cookie.2. The flat base of the press is cut incorrectly. It is not a perfect square. One corner is off by a couple millimeters, so it doesn't fit correctly into the perfect square ring molds.3. The top end of the press tube is closed by a screw that's covered by a clear plastic aglet. The aglet is actually wider than the tube is it has a painfully sharp plastic ridge that cuts into your hand when you use it.Basically all of the problems are due to the shoddy design of the press. To improve this product, the press should be a single cast piece of stainless steel instead of two, and the height of the post should be cut in half and the top needs to be flared and rounded to better distribute the pressure on your palm.I think what I'm going to do to make it usable is cut the tube in half and then screw a dresser drawer knob into the top end to keep it from cutting into my hand.

予定より早く到着しました。ありがとうございます。早速使ってみての感想です。しっかりとした造りで使いやすくきちんとパイナップルケーキが出来ました。ひとつひとつ洗うのは面倒ですが、汚れも落ち易いかと思います。プッシュする棒に生地が付くので粉を振って使った方が良いかも知れません。

This is made up of a matte, lightweight aluminum which has held up well to a few batches of pineapple cakes. They conduct heat well and wash easily (don't stay oily after a quick wash, which is important when the outer shell is all butter shortbread). I like the included press for flattening the cookies to the moulds as well as using to help push the pineapple cakes out when done baking. Picture is accurate.

It’s okay, but the size is a bit small for pineapple cake.

I love the product so much. I have been using it several times in making my favourite Taiwanese pineapple cakes and it came out so perfect without any hesitation.
