I've never used this type of product before, so I can't really compare, but these seem well made. Time will tell if they do their job.

I recently started riding a bicycle again, this time using a recumbent tandem. I really do not want to experience a flat tire when learning the rudiments of the craft, so I purchased this product to act as a shield between the tire and the inner tube. They were easy to install, although the smaller than normal diameters of the wheel required that they be cut shorter in size. Getting the tires off the wheels took a considerable more effort. I eventually gave up on that and sneaked the shields in with one tire bead still on the wheel.

En mi zona hay demasiadas espinas y era un problema constante llegar al trabajo con las llantas picadas. El producto es caro pero me salía más caro estar parchando mi bici de 2 a 3 veces por semana aparte de la frustración que se siente, ahora puedo salir tranquilamente sabiendo que no se ponchará la bici fácilmente. Algo a resaltar es que el peso de la bici aumenta un poco, sin embargo son más los beneficios que los contras, la instalación es sencilla si usas la cinta adecuada para tu bicicleta. En conclusión, vale la pena la inversión, una bicicleta es muy económica, te ahorra en gasolina y si le metes un poco de dinero simplemente vas a disfrutarlo en cada pedaleo.

Puncture proof? I doubt it. Although these liners may provide an additional layer of protection, I was able to push a nail through the material with only my bare hand. Also, these are very difficult to install. They'd be better if there was more of a curvature to match the tire's profile.For two strips of vinyl, the value does not seem to be good.

I recommend comparative shopping, but don’t buy cheap tape that will breakdown and deteriorate. I would rather spend a few extra dollars and have peace of mind.
