In installing a new dishwasher, I wanted to solve a problem that had been developing in the years since we renovated the kitchen. The exposed painted surface on both sides of the dishwasher door was starting to bubble and peel from moisture and heat. I knew it was only a matter of time before it got worse.I had been considering a few different options when I finally found these. They're pricey for a couple pieces of metal, but they look beautiful and serve the purpose perfectly. The dimensions (2x30) are actually perfect for what I had in mind. It doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the cabinet, but it ends where the dishwasher door hinges so you don't see it.Adhesion was the biggest challenge of all with these, since they're not self-adhesive. I used a small bead of silicone and smeared it as even as I could, then clamped them overnight. Happy with the result. They look great and I know these will hold up much longer in the long term.
