So you got the dashboard engine light on your 25 year old Honda. You run a scan which tells you your upstream sensor is misbehaving.First thing you have to do is check if you have a ULEV sticker on your rear windows see photo. Then you open the engine compartment and look for the green CTEC ULEV markings on valve cover. Also you look for the upstream sensor at the bottom of exhaust manifold. Follow the red arrow in photo. If your car is a 98 to 2000 4 Cyl. Accord, then the Denso 234-9025 is absolutely the right part for you despite the fast the Amazon fitment app probably telling you it is not.You may be tempted, as I was, to opt for this part, the 234-4621 Amazon-recommended $19.95 solution. I did. This part will make your engine stall, sputter and waste fuel. Worse it cannot clear your smog test. The Denso will set you back about $140, but it is made of platinum and zirconium and it is controlling and optimizing your engine in real time. The $19.95 part just cannot do this. I installed it, took measurements and it failed the test.If your engine is not ULEV you are ok.

worked perfectly as if oem. cable was a little longer but not an issue with a zip tie handy. took care of 2 of my 02 sensor codes and came with pre applied anti seize on the tip. recommend using gloves for install to not get any body oils on the sensor. good product at less than half the price of autozone/pepboys/oreillys. for reference I have a 2000 honda accord SE. cheers
