Muy bien, solo que si hace un poco de ruido, pero imagino es normal por el viento que jala.

I bought this fan (# 238) to replace the mechanical fan (w/viscous clutch) on my '01 BMW X5. The fan blades were coming apart, and the clutch was howling, so I determined to replace it with what I trusted from prior experience: a Flex-a-Lite electric fan. The Flex-a-lite Flex-Wave LoBoy Electric Fan (Puller), 16" (238), looked like the highest CFM rating that I could fit in, and still use the original fan shroud, despite Amazon's warning that it would not fit. Though I tried using a mounting kit, the Nissens radiator had fins too tight to use the push-thru ties, so I quickly made a mounting frame (with zip-ties & thin aluminum flat bars), and the fan went in just fine. I used an aftermarket thermostatic switch, relay, and wiring kit (not tied into the factory PWM fan circuit that powers the factory auxiliary fan), and the Flex-a-Lite keeps my X5 cool just where I want it, for 2 years now. Great fan!

The fan, along with a homemade fan shroud, has resolved the over heating issues with my Pontiac 389.

Si enfría rápido, más que un ventilador de equipo original

I've been buying the low cost ($35-$65) cheap fans made in China for my 8.1L Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 which I converted to two 16" fans many years ago. Those fans say they pull 3000 CFM, but few did. They last only about two years at best and most of the time failed much sooner. Because they don't pull the air that they are advertised to, I've constantly run into problems with over heating that Chevy big block while running the A/C in Dallas, TX summer heat. If that wasn't bad enough, it prevented me from pulling my 6,000Lbs travel trailer in such heat. It was just not enough air flow through the radiator, even with both cheap China fans mounted on a custom built shroud. Even when I rebuilt the shroud to be larger and to hold the fans further away from the radiator to make a larger air draw area, I only saw a light improvement. I broke down and purchased two Flex-a-Lite fans, 3000 CFM, 16" and mounted them in my newly custom built shroud. I wasn't sold on the wavy fan design being quieter or pulling 20% more air - but they work! I drove my truck to/from work over the last week (I have a commuter car I usually drive), and in 95 degree afternoon heat, with the A/C on medium blower, the truck never saw 170 degrees! I have a 160 degree thermostat in it. Plus, that jabber about these fans being quieter than straight blade fans - it's true! If my windows are up, I can't hear them. With windows down, I can hear them but barely. With the old cheap fans, I could hear the whining sound with the windows up. The only thing left to see is if these fans slow down rotation like the cheap fans did over time, and will they last more than a year or two. I did notice that all the China cheap fans had identical motors on them, but not these. The motors on the Flex-a-Lite are a very different design than those on the cheap fans. I hope this means they will last a long time.
