We bought a used Maytag Centennial dryer for our new place. The heating element worked fine upon first startup but then went completely out. After taking it apart and testing all the connections with a multimeter, found the thermofuse was the culprit. Found this replacement for cheap and installed with no issue. It's been about 4 months and working fine.

Saved me hundreds by being able to purchase and install this myself. Fit in as it should and corrected the time out on my Maytag Centennial dryer. I had the original go out years ago so I was hoping this would correct the issue again.I'm not sure how durable these are based on how inexpensive they are and for a two pack. Worst case scenario, I have a second for when this one goes out. A very cheap way to check if this is the issue on your dryer instead of paying a tech hundreds to trouble shoot and then install.

Although this is a small and inexpensive part, once it blows the dryer won't work. After doing some online searches I saw that a blown thermal fuse was likely the problem. I ordered this on Sunday evening and by Monday afternoon (the next day!) it was here. I ordered two of them since this is a safety feature that the dryer uses when it gets too hot. It's handy to have a spare one. The part fit exactly and the dryer is up and running again.
