My wife was ready to buy a new dryer when our door switch failed. But I had this new switch installed in less than 10 minutes, and the dryer is working like new again. And the part actually arrived a day earlier than expected.It's nice when things go right, which is rare these days...

Ordered after dryer stopped working. The part was exactly as described for the dryer make and model. Installed quickly and with a little sweat equity. Has been working for a few months now with no issues

I have an old Kenmore 80 Series dryer which have the door switch broke recently. I ordered this to replace it. It works well so far.I compare the spec on this switch against my broken one. They are basically the same, including the power consumption. The 3 poles plug fits too.My dryer first started with not detecting door open well. Soon after, it cannot detect door open at all, but I can still push the switch to make the dryer work. But not long later, my dryer totally off due to the switch was broken. The whole thing last for about 2 weeks. So if you notice the switch starts to have problem, I would suggest to order a spare part, just in case. This one is not expensive. Price range is around the middle of most products. Which is reasonable.This switch does not come with installation instruction. I would suggest to check on internet for installation videos for your dryer. Installing this switch is easy. But beware, don't drop the switch or any screws inside the dryer. I would not follow the video exactly. I would pay extra attention to unscrew to avoid dropping any screw. I would unscrew the switch first, then unplug it to avoid the switch from falling inside the dryer. Dropping anything in the dryer could be a very big mistake. It could be very hard to get them out. So beware.Overall, I think this switch works well. I don't know how long will it last. But this one is not very expensive, and easy to install. I would recommend it.

This is an exact drop-in replacement door start/stop switch for Kenmore front-loading clothes dryer machine. The switch and connector receptacle are an exact match and replacement for my Kenmore front-loading dryer. This is a very common universal drop-in replacement part for a variety of brands. You really just need to buy one and not the multi-pack. The switch lasts for many years.Problem:The dryer was not running when the door was closed.Symptom:The old switch was broken and had no return spring action. It was not properly connecting/completing the circuit to keep the dryer running properly when the dryer door was closed.The item shipped the next day via Amazon Prime.Solution:Replace the door switch.Replacement fix:After disconnecting the power to the dryer, I just had to pop the top of the dryer open using a flat screwdriver around the top deck with a cloth around the flat screwdriver tip to prevent scratches, lift the cover all the way back and rest it down for easy access to the door power switch. Then I had to remove the two screws holding the door switch and replace the old door switch with the new one after disconnecting the switch's power receptacle. It was an easy fix that took a few minutes to do! Good as new and should hopefully last many years of use like the old one that died.I hope you found my review helpful and useful. You can do this yourself. Easy fix! A few minutes! Just disconnect the power first before you perform any work on your appliance just to be safe!
