I recently purchased these struts. They were looking solid, however there are no clear instructions, straight fodward instructions on how to install them. Also, if you want to adjust the presure, like other brands, these one are SEAL, no way how to adjust the presure. I email customer service, so far...crickets.

It was all I could do to open my trap door as it was so heavy. It's like 38"x38" wide on all sides with pressed wood. I ordered the 20" for 67 lbs. for this to help me open and close the door. They work awesome. The pictures provided by the seller on Amazon page really helped. My person followed the written directions but pulling up the photos provided on this site was a great help to installing them as it was a little confusing on the written instructions looking at them.I'm so glad this company had these as it is such a great help for me.

I bought these for a toolbox on a trailer, the doors a 20kilo each and 1100mm wide by 2000mm long so I needed struts strong enough to lift these.The 680n is more than required but it was the closest in that length.The struts themselves are very strong and do the job easily, but the brackets a useless and bent out of shape the very first time I closed the door.I gave this a 2 even though the struts are good but having to make new brackets was another expense and time .

The mounts had to be mounted differently than the originals and once installed they were so stiff that they ripped out the hinge on my boat deck. But the board did have some damage and they do supprt the engine cover very well. Once i reinforce the hinge or replace the wood itself i think they will support the engine cover on my 1995 Chris Craft concept just fine. The mounts arent stainless so you'll hsve to paint them. The only hardware are the swivels that attach the cylider to the mount.
