Item got too hot to touch and posed a fire hazard. I’m a bit upset because I missed the return window and am now stuck with the item I cannot use.

I ordered the “4 Pcs LED Black Light Bar, 15W USB Blacklight Strip Light for Glow Party, Magnetic Black Light Strip Tube, Portable LED Black Light for Fluorescent Tapestry Poster Body Paint Christmas Cabinet (2pcs)” to review and to use for tomato worm hunting. I really like the light bars for what I need. I just had to create a makeshift housing using some scrap furring strip pieces (see attached pics). I have several power banks, any of which work with these lights. Fortunately for my tomato plants but unfortunately for this review, I haven’t found any worms with them yet but I am confident that they will work when needed as other fluorescent objects I have around the house glow quite well with these lights. A few items of concern: 1. The lights put out what seems to be some ambient non-black light along with the blacklight, which is great for me but might be bothersome to others. 2. They actually didn’t power up at first with a power bank but after I plugged them into a wall block first, they work fine except they do blink off then back on once every time I turn them on. 3. The light bars are both connected to one switch and one plug and are NOT separate. 4. There are a few items in the product description that are confusing. The main description starts with “4 pcs” and ends with “2 pcs.” There are ONLY 2 light bars. There is also the statement “Magnetic Black Light Strip Tube.” I have no idea what this is referring to as I cannot find anything magnetic about them. There is also a product image that indicates “3 lighting modes; Steady on, Dim, and Strobe.” There is one switch for on/off and no apparent dim or strobe modes that I can tell. Outside of this and since they work for what I need, I rate them with 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️– Average to Above Average – At least what you would expect based on the Product Page. Maybe a bit more. A solid product. I'm really happy with the size, simplicity, and functionality of these blacklight strips. They work as described and deliver a gentle blacklight glow.They're very slender, good for use in a small space or to highlight a single poster. They happen to be just the right size for a neon diorama I’m planning to make, so I was very glad to find them after shopping around and seeing so many lights that were simply too large or bulky to match my crafting plans. After I show off that art project, I'll probably pull them off to use under my desk for a little bit of that fun cyberpunk aesthetic.I love the simplicity of having a USB plug on these. It's just so practical to be able to easily charge them without having to worry about batteries or keeping track of a special kind of cord! They're not super bright, only 15W, but for the size and price I think they deliver reasonable value and add quite a bit of fun.The set has two light bars and they're the measurements I expected, so I can happily confirm that I got exactly what I hoped for when ordering these.
