Does not work if the hinge doesnt have a projection. None of our doors do.

These are perfect for what I needed for my doors. I have one heavy and one lighter type what door and it closes them perfectly only issue is if you have a wall next to the hinge that is perpendicular to the door then you won’t be able to install the spring unless you had some type of machine that could pry the spring all the way back to get it into an 90° angle otherwise if your door is at a 180° angle when closed with the same wall, then it will be easy to install. Make sure to cushion the wood trim if you have that as these can cause indentation otherwise these work beautifully for the price it’s amazing and strong .
