Functional, hold is tight, value you definitely there, easy installation. Stability is good if properly installed.

The circumference of a standard 20 pound propane tank is a bit larger than the circumference of this item. The strip helps however to hold the tank pretty well. Hard plastic, longevity to be determined.

I actually ended up having to modify the plastic mount because it didn’t make full contact with the propane tank the tank cylinder was too big so I took a belt sander to the plastic mount to make the rounded taper less steep and more gradual to where it matched the tanks roundness. Also the strap that it came with is pretty cheap and doesn’t really hold the tanks roundness very well so just ended up using a ratchet strap insteadI ended up giving this a 3 because I had to modify 2 different things on the design, that being the taper of the plastic holder to match propane tank for a snug fit and also having to buy new ratchet strap because one that it comes with does not get tight enough to safely go down the road with. So this potentially is a dangerous item to buy if you don’t modify it.

Purchased to hold a 10 pound propane cylinder in my truck Works perfect the straps are very long and needed to be shortened

I ordered two of these to secure a spare propane bottle and a 5 gallon round gasoline safety can in the bed of my truck. I mounted them to either side of the bed, just back from the tire indentations. I had to find suitable bolts for my truck sides, as the supplied bolts are good for concrete anchoring, but I knew that buying it. So far I give it 5 stars for value, but to be honest 4 stars for quality. Only 4 - why? Because the included straps are not all that sturdy, the cam buckles feel very light and I suspect that I will replace them with a better quality buckle eventually, or add a secondary chain, cable, or other securing device. For now, several hundred miles later they are still holding just fine.
