This luxurious box would be a lovely way to present a necklace except for the very plain and sad strips of elastic used to hold the item in place. The whole box is luxurious, so why not have a nice strip of velvet or satin over the elastic. It is a real buzz kill to the presentation. Though the website does show the elastic, you don't realize how cheap it looks until you get the box an open it. Too bad.

This jewelry gift box is solidly crafted and has all the 5-star qualities I've given it. HOWEVER, I had to leave it open and air out the inside of it for 5 days because it had an odor that was strikingly similar to, or actually, kerosene!! The smell eventually dissipated completely and was odor-free by the time it came to use it for the gift I'd bought for my wife.

I have a tourmaline pendant on an 18" chain. As tourmaline can scratch, I wanted a box that would protect it. This case, with two elastic holders inside and near either end, keeps both the pendant and the chain from moving around when transported. The hard shell of the case should keep my necklace safe. This is the best necklace box I have ever purchased.

This is such a pretty box, but the velvet covered snap on top shows wear. I'm guessing from not being protected in storage. I was going to use this as a gift box, but the flattened velvet in the snap made it look used. I'm going to keep it for myself and use it as a travel box for necklace chains. The rest of the box is great! Super pretty!!!
