I think these are really nice for just using for a relaxing theme. The plant print is large and has nice, crisp color without being overly bright. It would go with a spa theme or any plant lover theme. If you are planning on using them at a picnic though, you might be prepared to double up the plates. They are thick enough for appetizers but if it's potato salad and heavy foods, the plates are just a tad too thin to safely hang on to them without everything dropping. That being said, they are great if you are doing something like hot dogs and chips or similar. So that's the thickness. They are pretty and they have plenty in the package. I really like them and think that the price point is a tad high ($13.99 at the time of this writing) for paper plates but in line with printed party plates.

The fact that this pack had 2 different sizes is what made me want to try them, it is so refreshing to not have to buy 2 separate sizes. I do not use paper plates on a daily basis but I love to have them handy when I am too whipped to even bother with cleaning plates or if the dishwasher is nearly packed. The design looks in better in person, so that was a nice surprise. I have bought this type of plate that was a bit more sturdy than these but these still did the job. I would rate them as a midweight plate, as they did need a bit of support while carrying them to the table. The coating on them did keep the food juices from seeping through them too.

A bit heftier than the old school paper plate and they hold up well for snacks and desserts so long as they don't get too messy. They're substantial enough to deal with standard fare like a slice of pizza or a couple brownies. Not sure I'd trust them with too much more than that, but for a casual get together featuring finger foods rather than a full meal, these are a fun way to entertain if your guests are likely to carry their food around whilst mingling rather than sitting down for a complete meal at the table.

These are your standard 9" and 7" paper plates. They are thin so I think they would be best for light foods such as snacks, cake etc. They have a raised rim around them which will help to keep food on the plate. They are super cute and the print is really bright and would be perfect for a themed party.
