It will not charge as far as I can tell.. the apple does up on the screen, then goes off, comes on, goes off... is that what is supposed to happen?? Unit will not power on while plugged in either.

Bought this to replace a battery in my Ipod Touch 5. I watched a Utube video a few times before attempting the battery change. This kit comes with the battery, a suction cup to help lift the screen, various plastic prying tools, screw drivers and double face tape. All were very useful in changing the battery. You will also need a good quality electronics soldering iron, rosin, electronic quality solder, a razor blade or exacto knife, and patients. My battery replacement was successful and the new battery seems to function well.

Installed in December of 2022. Initially I felt very good about improved battery life following a charge but it no longer holds a charge overnight. (It is now March of 2023).With a product that is this difficult to install, I am not looking forward to another replacement project.

Battery work good for a week then it refuses to accept charge. Maybe I got a defective one.

Tools work good and battery was hard to position in my ipod 5th generation. But this was my 1st time doing this so it works great 👍
