The impractical vertical "hole" in the console was annoying. I needed something that attempted to organize the console. This fits exactly and looks like it was made by VW. I was not too fond of the tall, vertical hole that made everything clunk together at the bottom. This fits neatly, providing a tray for spare change, parking passes and lip balm. Underneath, you can hide more valuables out of sight, and the tray almost hides the fact that it's a removable tray. I am very pleased with this aftermarket product.

This piece here is highly recommended as not sure why Vw couldn’t incorporate this into the new vehicle from factory. I like the ease of use for me I put my wallet in it and some spare change also at the time of writing this I learned about Amazon vine and I would like a invitation to the program

Fast shipping, which is always appreciated. Doesn’t fit a push in tremolo bar. It’s designed for a threaded tremolo bar. I’ll see if I can swap out the original when I change it. That’s the only reason I gave it a four.

I believe this is for Made in Mexico models. Had nice weight to it, nice plating.It uses a screw type arm versus the stock push in vibrato arm. I just swapped it over to the stock one which fit perfectly, so I didn’t have to buy another arm and it functions great.The spring retainer is steel versus brass. In my testing, it doesn’t affect sound at all, but some swear by the bronze one. The spring included is nice and firm.The big con , and why I gave it 4 stars, is that this one is more expensive than the made in Japan version. I would just recommend getting that one, but if you have credits saved up like I did, this one is a nice unit as well.(Note: the screws included seem a bit long, I have a thick alder body custom JM and they seamed too long. so I just used shorter the stock ones I had)
