I really like the fact that you can ready tenthousandths of an inch with this blade micrometer. The blades are only .03" thick, so the can get into really small slots.Perfect for the shop floor. I used it since the first day I got it. And it basically lives on my work bench.The best part, it cost less than half what a mitutoyo mic. does. I ordered the 0-1" and 1"-2" blade micrometers. Quality is OK from what you would expect for the price.The 1-2 arrived ok and in good condition. The 0-1 arrived and it was locked in fully closed position. They shipped it with the blades fully closed and because of temperature diffentials during shipping and the expansion and contraction of the body of the mic and screw of the head it was stuck in the fully closed position. The calibration department doesn't want this mic to be used in our shop.Requested a return. The return was approved but they want me to pay for shipping to Canada. So I paid $26 for shipping to buy the mic and they want me to pay more to ship it back.PS. The micrometer head was reading about .0012 below the 0 mark it should read when fully closed. That should give you a good idea of how much force it was putting on the internal screw during shipping.
