The hole that goes over the pin is too small. Even if you were to drill out the space needed the walls of the rod would be thin enough you would fear they would break under the heat. Seller either needs to identify this doesn't work for gen 2 motors, or needs to include a rod with a larger hole.

I bought this for my 2014 chevy cruze, I had to cut both bolts for so it could fit into the bracket or else never fit. Luckily I I have a dremel type tool with cutting wheel to make it fit. So far it seems to be okay, just be prepared to make adjustments to make it fit.
