I got it today, and it shuts the microphone at 1 sec. Do not buy this. I know it is $12, but it is $12 down the drain. To ship it back would probably cost more. But I will like a refund none the less. Total trash

It’s a Lightning-to-USB-C OTG adapter. It’s usually used for keyboards and mice, but I got it to work with my Yubikey. Now I can use a USB-C Yubikey with my iPad.

It works with some caveats. I am able to use it for charging from a variety of usb-c cables and charging bricks, and it worked with a usb-c 3.5mm audio adapter.It failed to work with a different usb-c 3.55m + charging adapter, or when attempting to charge from a thunderbolt 4 enabled usb-c.These things are tricky because there are many different profiles and protocols associated with usb-c that it would be unfair to expect it to work with every ill defined lightning or usb-c product in existence. But overall it does the job for standard tasks.The manufacturer should consider putting this on a short cable because the addition of this adapter on the end of a standard usb-c cable creates a roughly 2 inch solid connector that would be fairly easy to break, so this is a stationary only solution. No stars removed since this was known in advance and no one else is selling a flexible usb-c lightening OTG adapter either.With those limitations in mind I recommend this product.

The purpose of my purchase was to bypass extra cords in the name of making connections at my work station. They're out of the way& easy to handle but on the flip side, they are small and may get lost so be careful. Laptops have various outlets on each side in varying amounts so something that can change from one type of connection to another is useful. The price is OK also.
