I've been re-using paper filters for over a year. Just didn't want to add more garbage to the landfill. This filter will be perfect replacing them. I din't even need to change the grind! No sludge, full flavor!!

Makes great coffee and I don’t have to keep buying filters. Washes right off and it always stays in the bottom of the filter cap, no messing with wetting it down. The holes are very fine so sometimes you have to press down pretty hard. Be careful, the filter is hot after use!! And I’d be lying if I said I never bobbled it and had to fish it out of the trash can when ejecting the puck. The gold tone is pretty bougie, not sure it’s worth the extra cost but is is pretty nice

It arrived cracked :( So I never got to brew a cup of coffee in this otherwise visually attractive double walled glass French Press. It arrived over-boxed from Amazon, with no damage to its "product box", and appeared to have pretty good foam cushioning inside its own box (though a little shy around its spout)... but still the pot arrived with a couple of 3/4" cracks around the upper rim near the handle... one ~horizontal crack near to and paralleling the rim, and another nearby ~vertical crack from the rim toward the handle. Unfortunately, this pot is going back into its packaging and into the waste bin. Sad.

I don't know the benefits of being "gold" but the filter is perfectly sized, works as well or better than paper filters, and is reusable. The only caution I have is that this filter is easily lost. Keep a close eye on it. I lost the first one I bought before I could use it. I was more careful with the second. It comes in a small flat thick paper envelope that almost looks like advertising added to the box. I don't even recall seeing the first one. I suspect it was in the box with other Amazon items and carelessly got thrown away. I keep this one in a resealable travel filter holder designed for AeroPress paper filters. Unless I get careless and loose this one it should last a lifetime.

The shape is very stylish, with the wider base and narrower top. It is also effective at insulating the coffee. Highly recommend.

I had a problem with my Aeropress XL that weak coffee would just slip by the paper filter. This metal filter resolved that issue totally.

I cant tell you how many times a week I use this thing. Incredibly easy to clean, use, and there are no parts of It I would change. Mind you, it can take a bit of pressure as well.

I like that it's perfectly clear, insulated double-walled. It seems somewhat fragile, though and I'd need to avoid dropping it on tiled floor.
