Works great! It’s definitely not speed compensated, thicker mixtures slow it down significantly from its set rpm, but overall it works exactly as described! Easy and simple assembly, intuitive controls (push the speed button to set speed, timer button while not running to set time, push adjustment knob to start/stop the motor), it didn’t get hot after 30 minutes of stirring a fairly viscous solution, and was very low noise! I’d say it was a great value for the price!

I am a skincare entrepreneur who was ready to upgrade her home lab. This stirrer has been really incredible. It is easy to put together, it has a ton of power (far more than I think Ill even need for now). I have been able to do my 300 gr batches between 700-1200 RPM.It’s helped create stable emulsions so far. I am very happy - it’s been well worth the money!! The price is actually great for what you’re getting!

3 stars as it does work as intended. But very limited features and modes so kind of difficult to set speeds and times.

The manual is only 4 pages long, and did not tell how to set the controls; I had to experiment. The LED display shows only the set point, not the actual running speed. The torque depends upon speed; faster speeds have more torque. The stirrer is quiet and runs smooth. I like this product. I can work around its limitations.

Well I took the chance buying this stirrer, no reviews at the time of this review, no ratings. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality (and size) of it! It’s a solid piece of equipment with good features. Adjustable rpm with a dial as well as a timer!Base: solid, heavy cast iron. The horseshoe design is very wide capable of fitting beakers/flasks bigger than I could use.Shaft: tall, thick, and heavy. Stainless steel. The threads are a little crunchy, but still plenty clean enough to put together with no issues. Also has flat ends so that you can use the provided wrench to tighten.Neck clamp: quality, big enough not much else to say.Spindle: the spindle is amazing. Way more power than I will ever need. I’m stirring something with decent viscosity that also has thick almost powdered material in the bottom. I’m still using less than half the spindle speed. The spindle chuck is pretty good, nothing to complain about. And spins very straight. No visible wobble. The digital screen is simple and easy to use with two buttons on the side of the dial. One as a timer one as spindle control. I was a bit worried that i would have to reset the timer every time but the timer stays set. So say you set it for 3 minutes, it will run the 3 minutes, turn the spindle off and when you’re ready to go again for the 3 minutes you just push in on the dial to go for another 3 minutes. No need to reset the 3 minutes. And if you unplug the spindle your settings are saved. And a major plus, the spindle is VERY quiet.Stir rod: the stir rod is all stainless steel and the wing is on one pivot point. While I do like the stir rod provided I do prefer my PTFE one that has the wing split and instead of pivoting as one piece, the wings fold down when pulling out of flask. However, the one provided is much thinner at the wing and does not pull much if any solid material out with it.
