This is a great gadget if you live somewhere that's prone to blackouts. We get them a lot during the spring and summer due to lightning storms, so this is perfect for our needs.I tried the different functions on it, and everything works well. One thing that you can't tell from the photos, is that it's actually very small. I honestly expected it to be three times the size than it is. It's not a big deal to me, but if you're looking for something big, you may not be happy with this particular emergency radio. Overall, I'm pleased with it. The light works well, the radio works, and the crank and solar functions also seem to work perfectly. I also like that I can charge a phone with it which is definitely useful during a blackout.

the antenna picks up almost every station, even when not extended. volume is surprisingly good for the size, which is small and lightweight but does a great job. super bright flashlight and the crank ia very easy to use. i also like that it can be solar powered and used as a temporary power bank. i bought this for an emergency bag and would definitely recommend.EDIT: the solar is useless. i kept it in the sun for 2 days and it would not charge my phone at all. the crank does work for the radio and flashlight but does not generate enough power to charge your phone no matter how long you try.

I bought two of these small crank am/fm/weather radios for my nieces this past Christmas (2020). I thought I would buy one myself to see if they are worth the $14 dollars (Prime cost), or just another cheap toy. I am definitely exciting for them! This little radio has great sound for such a small inexpensive unit! The tuner brings in the signals pretty strong (I am hearing a popular AM radio Los Angeles News channel up here in the San Francisco Bay Area!). Hearing the two NOAA Channels is also coming in strong. As a Ham Radio Operator, I know good and so-so radios; This is a great small handheld radio to put into a backpack for music while hiking, camping, or emergency News and Weather information. The 3-LED Flashlight is bright. This radio is gonna be part of my Emergency Go-Kit (We have lots of earthquakes, fires, and other natural anomolies requiring evacuations these days). I might have to buy a couple more for other family members. I haven't seen how long the battery lasts between full-charges yet, but with a built-in solar-panel, crank-charging, and USB charging, it should meet most portable entertainment and emergency needs.
