After setting up the GeniLife app used with this unit on my Android phone, although I get status information about the alarm using the app, it does not give any notification when I unplug the unit from the outlet. Looking at the reviews on this app on Android shows that other people have had this problem too.

I can not add this to the software. There are 3 possible reasons, and we ruled out all, but can not add to app. Where to find tech support?

The alarm works but it won't connect with my Wifi. Wished the app would list "Wifi signals detected" and let me choose from that list but it wants me to type my Wifi name instead. FAIL.But I kept it because I like the cord that allows me to mount the unit next to my freezer instead of behind it.

I have put this unit in. I am using it to monitor the power as well as protect our refrigerator. My only problem is that I have no control over what it is doing and very little status other then voltage and if it is in bypass. There are control buttons on the web app but they do not appear to allow me to reset, control or perform any other functions. My main problem is that the company has not been at all responsive. I sent in a bug with lack of function for the app button but have not heard back after several weeks. It is better then 3 stars but not quite 4.

We had a brown out which took out the compressor on our 4 year old LG refrigerator, it took almost 4 weeks before LG could send out a repair tech. During this time we realized how important it is not to forget the appliances which are outrageously expensive now. I purchased this surge protector to prevent this from happening again, I like the fact that it has an alarm in it to alert me should power fail to the circuit.I recommend everyone purchase this surge protector as another line of defense.
