I bought these spacers hoping it would give slight clearance but when they arrived they were very thick! At the lowest pickup placement it still hit the strings… thinner models would be recommended if they carried them.

I bought a new Epiphone BJA LP Jr. Physically the best playing Epiphone I have touched, which have been many.But being very familiar with P90's, I knew I wasn't getting the sound I expected and wanted from the stock P90. First thing I checked was the string gap. Pushed the strings down on the 22nd fret and saw a huge gap between the pup and strings. I ordered the Allparts spacers immediately and confidently as I have bought and used numerous Allparts items in the past 15+ years.The worst friend to a P90 is a wide string gap. P90's sound just won't work for the classic raunchy rock tone P90 sound unless they are as close to the strings as possible without touching them. Typucal of most P90 guitars, mine came with the pickups screwed down to the body and have no adjustment available.I chose the 1/8" spacer from the kit. Installing it was simple and fast. Just loosen the strings enough to slide back the tailpiece. Remove the 2 screws. Stock screws are more than long enough to securely use with the spacer. Slide the spacer around and then under the P90 and screw them back down. No soldering to worry about. Slide the tailpiece back on to the studs, tighten and tune the strings.Plug in and Rock Out.

I was trying to mount a dogear P90 in a firebird would not fit the whole, this shim raised it just enoughto be able to mount the pickup without trying to rout out the whole

Used these when I changed out the stock pickups on my new Epiphone Casino with Seymour Duncan P90s. The shims were a perfect fit. If you're handy, you could probably make your own shims pretty easily but I'm not handy and these were great for me.

I immediately saw "made in Japan" on these and felt reassured that they would fit (in spite of what a previous reviewer stated). He or she was right though. These DO NOT fit the P 90 pickup on the Epiphone (Inspired by Gibson) Les Paul Junior. They are narrower than the pickup. I ended up cutting out and using only the tab ends. My suggestion is to make your own.
