Buscaba un recipiente grande para almacenar arroz y este fue el indicado! El cristal no es delgado, pero habrá que tratarlo con el cuidado que amerita. Ya tengo casi el año con el y hasta la fecha no he tenido ningún problema. La tapa trae un empaque de plástico para sellar el cierre.

Relación precio- calidad excelente, por su capacidad (6 litros) me es de mucha utilidad para prepara bebidas refrescantes, tambien lo utilizo para preparar Kombucha ; ). La tapa no es hermética pero a mi me es de mucha utilidad. Decora muy bien la cocina. Me encantó!!!!!

Lo compré para preparar pepinillos enteros, cumplió con mi expectativa, caben mas de 10 pepinos criollo, y aguanto el vinagre hirviendo.

I have been looking for an upgrade for storing my flour for some time (my old glass jar had a rather narrow neck that didn't fit a measuring cup). Out of all the options I looked at, this ended up being the best by far for the following reasons:1. Glass is a better storage material than plastic (healthier and more durable).2. The jar is very attractive. It looks classy in my cabinet.3. Closing and opening the jar is easy with the large peg on the top (many jars have a flat-top design that needs to be gripped firmly with a whole hand, which is hard when your hands might be covered in various baking supplies).4. The 1.5 gallon jar is a great size for a 5-lb bag of flour. There is some room to spare, but given that I buy new flour before I've totally run out of the previous bag, it will be nice to have some extra space.5. The mouth of the jar is very wide and comfortably fits a full-size measuring cup.As a big bonus, the jar is American-made, and a terrific value for the money. Many stores sell flour jars that are way less practical than this, made in China, for $20-50.

La tapa si sella, de calidad, bonitos, están demasiado pesados para ponerlos en una repisa que no esté bien puesta y aguante mucho peso.

I never much spent time organizing my dry goods. In fact, i never much bought dry goods except for cereal and things that would survive a nuclear holocaust. This caught up with me and now i am filling my cupboards and cabinets with better stuff like rice, nuts, figs, etc.This created a problem which I hoped that Anchor Glass Jars would help with. I was quickly tired of reaching up and down for goods to pull from cabinets and then resealing the packages. Then i started to cover my counters with these goods which quickly made a clutter and sometimes resulted in spillage.These jars are just what i wanted. So far they don't appear to be too fragile and seem to be of a fine quality glass. I personally liked the large sizes and variety pack as i like to buy some things in bulk and want to keep them filled and other things prove a little goes a long way.When you put the lids on you can feel the air lock for freshness which caught me off guard. The simple design proved to be highly functional as well. Well done Mr Anchor Engineer!These did appear to be a bit pricier than many of the other jar options but I took a gamble that it would translate to quality and larger size options. I have not been disappointed thus far.Definitely, research and find a good price point before buying this type of item but I find these an excellent option for pantry or counter storage.The would do a good job storing quick access stuff for kids or at the office like cookies or candy as well as more serious cooking goods like coffee, beans, rice, etc.I hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine.
