I've expected a creamy Dye so I'd be able to spread it to the leather. This product is a colored water, liquid.

I recently used the Angelus Leather Dye in brick to dye the back of a Telecaster body I built. The alder which notoriously is not a great wood for dying without a sealer, took the dye extremely well. The photos above are after 2 coats of dye, and then after a few coats of Tru Oil. I initially thought it was too red for my taste but it actually turned out really nice.
