A lot of online videos warn against buying LoRa antennas (antennae 😁) from Amazon, but I bought this one anyway, since I had a NanoVNA and could check its performance. This antenna is very well-tuned for the U.S. LoRa 915 MHz band, as you can see in my photo. I highly recommend this antenna. (Warning to novices: NEVER turn any radio transmitter on while you have its antenna removed; the transmitted RF energy will be reflected back into the transmitter and can easily destroy the electronics in the final RF amplifier stage.)

I have several meshtastic nodes. I have tried to use the trace route and signal strength results to evaluate several antennas I have purchased. I have two fairly stable nodes about 0.6 miles apart that allow good comparison. I can verify that the short stubby 2dBi(that comes with Heltec V3) is less than a 3dBi (from Digikey), and both are less effective than the 5.8dBi (from Amazon). So I was anxiously to try this one out. The signal strength numbers were very close to that of the 5.8 dBi , so I doubt the 10 dBi claim. However it does provide a nice slim flexible antenna for a portable node at a reasonable cost.
