I live in the Washington DC area about 23 miles from the main towers. Initially I put this in the second floor of my house but was picking up about 30 channels and missing all the VHF channels which includes two of the big four. Once I put it in my attic though, I got over 60 channels. All the major local and their sub channels, and even some from farther markets. I'm pairing this with a Tablo and it's amazing.

This is our second Antop antenna. I have tried other brands with not much luck (2-9 channels). My Antop antenna gives us 30+ channels. I have it connected to a Fire TV Recast, so we have live tv on all our Fire sticks.

Earlier this year I finally cut the cable cord and went to streaming services. I wanted to also get my locals, but where I live, I didn't have many good options, so I opted to try this antennae based on the 4-5 reviews it has at the time. Setup was simple and I was using it indoors. After pointing it towards where all the local transmitters are located 18 miles south of town, I turned on my Samsung TV and had it do a channel scan. After it was finished, I was surprised that there were several channels saved that I didn't even realize are broadcast in the area. I was so impressed with the picture quality and the performance of the Antop, I ordered two more for my other two tvs in the house. On two of my TV's, I do have the VHF rods attached. On the antennae in the bedroom, there wasn't enough room for the rods where I had the antennae sitting. I did a scan and after it was done, I tuned to a local VHF channel and the picture was perfect. One thing I did notice is at different times of day, and depending on which TV I was watching, I would get some pixelation and sound dropping. There is a 5g cell tower about 2-3 blocks behind my house and in between my house and the broadcast antennas south of town. I ordered three Phillips 5g filters. Installed them and it took care of the problem. If you do this be sure you install it before the amplifier, not after. I just attached one end to the in side of the amplifier and the other one the cable coming from the antennae. For the $49.99 price, this is an outstanding OTA antennae. Highly recommend!
