This thing is absolutely incredible and well worth the price. We have gone through so many filter systems we also have hard water and still use water softener tabs etc how ever for the last few weeks our tank was so cloudy and we couldn't get it cleared. After two days of having this filter system it cleared up completely. It's quiet, and if the power goes out it won't burn up the motor because it's in the water. I highly recommend this product

Impressive little machine! I've battled algae blooms for years. Finally, this last bloom broke me. I couldn't figure out how to control it. A little Google search led me to this and WOW. I wish I had taken a before and after picture. It seriously works. My tank is clear and my fish and plants are healthy.

Nothing like the magic of UV sterilization. This has a good flow for my 20 gallon, has options for how long per day to run the light, and also whether you want it to add oxygenation. Tank went from cloudy and starting to bloom green to crystal clear. Started it by being on 24 hours a day to now just 6 for maintenance. Hopefully it’s also durable! Time will tell on that but it was worth the price to clear up my tank.
