I used this for something a little different: adding metallic support on top of the ABS monitor housing to give some support for the VESA screws.I drilled four holes in the back of the ABS plastic on one of my monitors, and discovered the ABS was actually thick enough I did not need the nuts for now to hold the plate onto the back of my monitor.I may add them eventually but they did fit, they were just a little tight.Based on some reviewers comments, they are machine screws and you need to screw them in reverse a few times before going clockwise so that you don't risk cross threading them. You should also add a little grease to assist. I recommend using a crescent wrench first to hold the nut, then a Phillips screwdriver to pre-screw them in first. This should help loosen up the nylon inside.The VESA screw holes are not threaded but are in the correct locations. The four mounting holes in the center are counter-sunk.You may need to purchase your own nuts and bolts, depending on how you choose to use this.

Pleased with this product as it is thicker than usual and has a solid black powder coat paint to resist corrosion.
