It takes mere minutes to put these together in preparation for putting in the ground (the softer the ground, the better) and if not for the hardness of our dirt would have had these unboxed and in ground in under 10 minutes. I LOVE the look of these lights - they give off a bright but diffuse light from the opaqueness of the lens cover and when working function automatically from sundown to sunrise (or as long as they were able to charge in the sun for the previous day). Most of them work great, but unfortunately I question the quality since after one rainfall, a light rainfall at that, one of the lights seems to have gotten water-logged and stopped working. I've tried to dry it out, but there's definitely still water inside (can hear it upon shaking) and it still won't work weeks later. I hope it's a fluke.

They look great in the yard that is until it rains. They start taking on water and not coming on. It's been about a week and already beginning to malfunction. Back to Amazon They go. And I bought 2 sets but by the time the second set got here they started to fail

These are exactly what I was looking for and a great value. We wanted some additional lights on the sides of our walkway on the side of the house as it was super dark when we needed to get our trashcans. These lit the area up really well and allow us to see much better down the side of the house. These would look fantastic in our front walkway as well. Great quality for the price. The eight pack came as two four packs taped together, but there was no issue with shipping. The top part are a separate disk that has the solar piece on top and then the spike is two flat pieces that come together easily for an easy install.
