I was very excited about this product as, on paper, it is about the best-spec'd wireless device around. Unfortunately, the reality was an absolutely awful experience for me. I spent hours and tested every possible configuration, but it was unable to outperform a wifi 5 router from years ago.Factory resets, firmware upgrades/downgrade, each band tested individually. MLO/WiFi 7 enabled or disabled. Router mode, AP mode. Nothing I tried could achieve download speeds greater than 500mbps on my 1gb/1gb connection. And that was from two feet away. Upload speeds were often almost normal though! Performance fell off with any distance. The connection would often drop repeatedly during use, sitting 6 feet from the router. I tried testing with multiple wifi 7 and 6 clients that all performed in excess of 1gbps on other wifi networks, but ALL of them ran terribly when connected to the BQ16. Asus support could not offer any solution. If it were not for all the other complaints I've found in forums, I'd suspect my device was simply defective, but there seems to be widespread issues with this model.

This device has everything. It works great. It was simple and seamless to setup with 4 distinct SSIDs for each band. This solved all my Samsung Smarthings compatibility issues.The ASUS router includes a robust browser-based GUI and an excellent mobile app, with all the controls missing from the eero app. As a true bonus, ASUS support is US based and excellent for pre-sale support, but the setup was so problem free that I haven't needed them since.

Replaced Netgear RAX120 with the 1 Pack Asus BQ16 Pro.My computers have Intel BE200 or Qualcomm Fast Connect 7800 WiFi 7 cards installed.Setup didn't fully work with the phone app scanning the QR code on the bottom of the router but did work perfectly setting it up from my desktop PC logging in to the router IP address and creating ID,SSID and password.Once logged in I could access the advanced settings for channel selection and to turn MLO on/off.For the time being I have set the 2.4ghz,5ghz and the 2 6ghz channels to auto and enabled MLO while my learning the new router continues.
