These wifi mesh nodes are working perfectly. I purchased the set to use as two nodes for an existing router. The instructions provided only define setting up as a parent router with the second unit working as a child node. However, this set can also be used to provide two nodes two an existing router using the ASUS router app.

Purchased a 3 pack for a 2500 sf 2 story house. Coverage is great. No dropping at all. My printer wouldn't connect to the wifi 7 but the Asus router created a separate wifi 6 SSID it can use and it prints from all household devices. No other issues.

We purchase the system to upgrade our home router, extend coverage throughout our home and future-proof our network with Wi-Fi 7 capability. The router was easy to set up and works great! We got rid of those dead coverage areas we had with our previous round router and are very pleased. Asus is a solid brand and provides great security. Would highly recommend this mesh router.

Setup was a breeze. The app was easy and mostly intuitive. All the functionality and control you could ask for as an average home internet user… but it just didn’t work. I setup the network, updated all firmware, added all my devices and IoT gadgets, ran the network optimization through the ASUS app. And it still was bad.Sitting in the same room as the main node with an unobstructed line of site, webpages would timeout. Speed tests would show from 60-200 mbps. The connection icon on my phone would show full strength, and still simple web browsing would timeout. As for the mesh aspect, I have a ~2,000 square foot home. Main unit dead center in my home. Second node toward the farthest end of the house in the master bedroom. My iPhone 13 Pro Max would stay connected to the main node, not the one right next to my bed. Force connection to second node, same issues. Poor speed and sites timing out. Plus having to force switching between nodes defeats the entire purpose of running a mesh network.I had to connect all wired connections back into my ATT modem/router combo. Hardwired connections through the units with 1gig internet service peaked in the mid 200 Mbps range at the best of times. Upper 800+ Mbps once I connected back to the ATT equipment.

Didn’t not work with Verizon FIOS for me. I recently had 1gig FIOS fiber installed. The FIOS router gave great wire speeds but it’s WiFi was slower than my old ISP running half the speed. I decided to get better router. I installed the ASUS BT6. On a wired connection I got 950 mbps download speed! Beautiful! (But same as FIOS). On upload I got 2 mbps. That right, TWO! Tried everything I could think of. Tried everything Chatgpt could think of. Spent 90+ minutes of the phone with ASUS and still no luck. My return window is closing so it’s going back. Bought a Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 and I get 950 mbps down AND up! And it took all of 5 minutes to set up. (BTW I knew the FIOS fiber and ONT modem were working because my laptop with a cable connection to the modem was getting 950 down & up as well. )The hard wired connectivity was unacceptable (of course as was the wireless performance given the incompatibility of the cable connection) and a couple of my slower printers running WiFi 5 could not see the SSID I created. All told it was a big bunch of NO.
